Junior Power Trader | London | Hybrid | European Power Market | Algorithm Trading | Strategy | £50,000
The fastest growing and operating Energy Trading business in the country are rapidly expanding, whilst they are in the start-up phase, they come with the benefit of being backed by the worlds largest algorithmic trading business!
This is a Junior role, in which you'll need to have base-line experience in standard trading, an early grasp of the power trading market ideally in Europe, and have an idea of implementing manual strategies and inputting into an algorithm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Share European short term power markets expertise within the analytics and trading team
- Manage open risk in the market and execute trades where appropriate
- Investigate new opportunities in relevant markets
- Input Manual trades into Automation algorithms
- Support the wider business teams in developing and testing new strategies
The Ideal Candidate:
- 1 year of experience in trading European spot power markets
- Strong numerical and problem solving skills
- Experience with algorithmic trading
- A knowledge of Python
- Experience implementing new trading strategies that are passed onto you
The role is paying a £50,000 base, and comes with a very attractive bonus based upon PnL statement dependent on amount and input, and is offered on a hybrid basis in their Paddington office, with occasional trips to Poland too!
