Method Resourcing have continued their partnership with a growing SaaS company in the financial sector, who are looking for an IT Administrator to join their Service Desk team. This role is based fully on-site in their North Bristol office, and is paying between £30,000 - £34,000.
Role Overview:
As a Service Desk Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems by handling incidents, service requests, and BAU (Business As Usual) duties for our infrastructure. This role will involve feeding and maintaining our networks and servers, ensuring they're properly patched, and responding to alerts in a timely manner. You'll work closely with a team of three, with a focus on Tier 1 support, while also assisting in escalations from the Technician role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling incidents and service requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Performing BAU duties for our infrastructure, including maintaining and patching networks and servers.
- Collaborating with team members to address escalated issues and provide effective solutions.
- Assisting with virtualization, network, server, Azure, and Office 365 tasks as needed.
- Contributing to the overall improvement of our IT services and infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a 1st Line Support or Technician role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization, networks, servers, Azure, and Office 365.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and end-users.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
